About Mosquito Den
The concept of the Mosquito Den is the direct result of lengthy discussions among friends with very eclectic backgrounds ranging from public health and veterinary entomology, human and veterinary medicine, environmental engineering, physics, and sanitation professionals who share a mutual concern: that the current approaches to insect-borne disease control are inadequate, not designed or implemented properly, and have failed to reduce vector-human or vector-animal contact and thus lessen their impact on the populations they affect.
Our extensive list of clients include privately-owned properties, numerous locations in the hospitality industry and large, national and multi laterally-funded projects targeting a very extensive list of vectors under routine and emergency situations. These include mosquitoes, tsetse flies, biting flies, kissing bugs, sand flies, and black files and filth flies. Our goal is help our clients reduce or eliminate insects of public health and veterinary importance in the most expedient and environmentally sound manner, and in a way that they that results can be will be tangible while our work and our presence are virtually undetected.
The recommendations we provide are in concert with the goals and objectives of our client's and are designed to meet or exceed national and international regulations pertaining to the control of insects of medical and veterinary importance. Personal & Environmental Health and Safety
We design our interventions selecting the best mixture of available methods and procedures that deploy natural and environmentally-sound materials and have the best history of personal and environmental safety, and tailor them to local conditions and parameters. We consider and treat the materials we select as drugs for the environment and use them as such: if needed, when needed, as directed, and based on sound surveillance.
Environment & Sustainability
We design our interventions very carefully, tailor them to local conditions and select the best mixture of proven methods and procedures that deploy natural and environmentally-sound materials with the best history of personal and environmental safety. We strive to reduce or eliminate insects of medical and veterinary importance in a way that protects the environment and in a manner that can be continued locally with little to no outside assistance.
